The Full Defense
When you are under attack from several locations, orginating from the same Alliance, it is safe to assume that your opponents are attempting to take your Sub. If the attacks are heading to your capital, its less of an issue, you should Single Archer Defense (SAD).
Make sure you find out which attacks you can successfully defend. Once you have established which attacks you can stand up against, set a strong defense. You will receive Gold via other alliance members, to help you pacify your population to prevent the takeover. You should only defend with a full force if your attackers Legends are lower than yours!
The Single Archer Defense (SAD)
This is the most effective way of stopping larger players hitting you, as you stand to lose 5 archers, and no resources, whilst dealing large damage to your opponent. When you are under attack, to use this method effectively, you first need to move your resources between your cities so that you stand to lose none, a farmer tilling unfertile land often must move to more fertile grounds!
Once you have successfully moved resources, you need to set 5 legends to "Ride out", and equip each of them with a Weopon that reduces your Opponents army size. Then assign each with a single archer, and remember to make sure you do not check the "Auto-fill" icon, otherwise your legends will fill up with Archers when your Attacker lands.
Once the battle begins, simply open up the Battle Screen, and use your weopons to reduce you opponents army size (by either 5% or 10%). You lose 5 archers whilst your enemy loses 200+. And he walks away without troops. This is a great way to dissuade a larger opponent, as he not only walks away feeling outwitted, but impressed by your defensive capabilities. If he returns, he gives reason for you to call in aid from the Alliance.
Other tips and advice
Always remember not to Panic when your under attack. Panic causes nothing but more problems. Simply relax and remember that you have your comrades to help you if you need it!
Attacking a bigger player is always going to get you some form of recourse, so try not to bring trouble upon yourself and your team mates!
HIDE your resources! A good farm is one that gives good rewards, so don't be that farm! Sell resources on the Market, set them at Alliance Only, and ask nobody to buy them. Or move them between cities
